Abbadon:

Also known as “The Destroyer”. It breeds anarchy and chaos. He is the lord of the demon-kin who wears the faces of men, the tails of scorpions, and the bodies of winged horses. Do not confuse Abaddon with Apollyon (the angel of destruction), who holds the keys to the abyss.

Adramelech:

Originally an angel standing beside the throne of God, now a high priest of the Order of the King of Fire and Beelzebub, the Order of the Fly. He appears as a peacock or a mule. He is the patron of hypocrisy.

Asmodeus :

Patron of passion, debauchery, luxury, and sensuality. He appears as a beautiful man or woman. Some believe his mother was human — possibly Lilith — and his father an angel. When he appears in his true form, he has three heads — a bull, a ram, and a man, and his feet are those of a cock.

Azazel:

Also known as Azael. He is associated with the devil of Arabic and Islamic mythology, Iblis/Shaytan. He taught men to use weapons and women to use make-up. When he appears in his true form, he has seven snakeheads, fourteen faces, and twelve wings.

Aesma Daeva:

Persian demon. The name means ‘’madness’’. Demon of anger, revenge, and lust. She loves war and fighting. She hunts the souls of the dead with the Persian death demon Asto Vidatu. The Jewish demon Asmodeus is one of his personifications.

Aka Manah:

The Persian demon of sensual desires.

Asto Vidatu:

The Persian Demon of Death. He chases the souls of the dead and tries to catch them in a noose as they ascend to heaven.

Apaosa:

Persian demon who brings famine and heat. He rides a black, bald horse. Some believe him to be the same as the Indian demon Vrita.

Ahpuch:

Maja demon.

Ahriman:

Persian devil. For everything Adhura Mazda created, he created the evil equivalent. He even created the council of the seven arch-demons:
1. aka Manah, 2. Indrah, 3. Saura, 4. Taurva, 5. Zairisha, 6. Naonhaithya, and 7. Aeshma.

Apollyon:

Greek demon. Possibly the same as Abaddon. Apollyon and Abaddon both mean destroyer.

Agalierept/Tarihimal:

Ruling over Elelogap.

Aglasis:

It gets anyone or anything anywhere.

Baal:

The patron of futility. He commands sixty to seventy legions of demons. He appears as a short, fat creature with the arms of a spider and three heads — a frog, a cat, and a man.

Belzebub:

You know him as the Prince of Death. He was originally a seraphic angel. He appears in the form of a fly and is the commander of the Order of the Fly. He is the patron of heresy.

Baal-Berith:

Contracts between humans and the Devil are called for. It inspires dissenting, hostile, blasphemous, and murderous thoughts. He is the patron of disobedience.

Belphegor:

Enjoying good company, she takes the form of a beautiful woman. She was originally the head of the Order of the Princes. She is the patron of discoveries and great inventions. She is also the guardian of Paris.

Beleth:

He controls more than eighty-five legions of demons. He mounts a pale horse and trumpets signal his arrival.

Belial/Beliar:

Patron of lies and deceit. Born after Lucifer, he was originally a prince of the Order of Virtues. In the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, he was considered the greatest enemy of God. He is a great orator and sometimes appears as a gentleman. Some consider Belial to be the original devil, completely separated from God. Some stories say that Belial was God’s adversary when Lucifer fell. Then they joined forces.

Balaam:

The Hebrew demon of miserliness and greed.

Baphomet:

Worshipped by the Knights Templar, perhaps the same, perhaps not Satan.

Behemoth:

A Hebrew demon, often appearing in the form of an elephant.

Beherit:

Syrian demon.

Bucon:

Causes hatred and jealousy between man and woman.

Carnivean:

Patron saint of lewd and obscene behavior.

Crocell/Procell:

Originally the Prince of the Order of Powers. He commands forty-seven legions of evil spirits. He teaches geometry and liberal arts.

Carreau:

Originally a prince of the Order of Powers.

Clauneck:

It has power over the rich and helps you find treasure. He bestows great wealth on all who contract with him.

Clisthert:

It can give someone night or day.

Cimeries:

African demon. Riding a black horse.

Coyote:

American Indian demon.

Dumah:

Guardian of Egypt during the Jewish Exodus. Angel of the “Silence of Death”.

Dommiel:

The patron saint of fear.

Dagon:

Guardian of the Philistines. He appears in the half-human half-fish form.

Demogorgon:

Greek demon.

Exael:

He was a member of the Order of Angels when he fell. He taught people to make fighting machines and gold and silver jewelry.

Emma-O:

Japanese devil. She rules over the Onis — ghosts that cause accidents and disasters. The Onis live in the ethereal world, as well as on earth, among humans. The Oni of the ethereal world wears a green or red body and the head of an ox or a horse.

Elelogap:

It rules the water.

Furcalor:

Originally a member of the Order of the Throne. He appears as a griffin-winged man.

Forcas/Furcas:

Teaches logic, rhetoric, and mathematics. When summoned, he helps find lost objects.

Frimost:

He has power over women. It helps me gain power over women.

Frucissiere:

Bringing the dead back to life.

Frutimiere:

He prepares a feast for his summoner.

Gressil:

Originally a prince of the Order of the Throne.

Gaap:

Sixty-six legions of demons rule. It appears in the form of a man with bat wings.

Guland:

It causes illness.

Gorgo:

Greek demon. Possibly the same as Demogorgon.

Haurus:

Ability to tell the truth about past or future events. He may appear in the form of a leopard or a man or a combination of the two.

Hornblas:

Patron saint of music.

Hicpacth:

It brings a person to you.

Humots:

Any book you can get.

Heramael:

Teaching healing — the science of diseases and their cures. He teaches about plants and their use for healing.

Huictiigaras:

May cause sleep and insomnia.

Hael:

It gives anyone the power to speak any language. It teaches you secret and hidden knowledge.

Haristum:

Gives you the power to pass through the fire unscathed.

Imamaih:

Supervises travel. Usually summoned to destroy or confuse the enemy.

Indrah:

The Persian demon of apostasy. Not to be confused with the Indian god Indrah.

Kobal:

People are tempted by fraud.

Klepoth:

It creates dreams and visions.

Khil:

It causes earthquakes.

Leviathan:

In the Bible, he is depicted as a dragon of the sea. Behemoth-fish was created together on the fifth day. He rules the demons of the waters, the nymphs, and the water fairies.

Moloch:

Originally a Canaanite god worshipped by the early Semites, who sacrificed their firstborn in the fire of his temple. His face and hands are stained with the blood of these children.

Misroch/Nisroch:

Originally an angel of the Order of the Princes and worshipped by the Assyrians. He bears the head of an eagle; he was the guardian of the tree of good and evil.

Minos:

Dante is described in Inferno, in the fifth canto.

Mephistopheles :

Also known as ‘’The Destroyer’’. A smooth-talking, elegant demon. He has a particular flair for entertainment, being the prince of deception.

Musisin:

He has power over kings and lords.

Mersilde:

You can take anybody anywhere.

Morail:

It makes anything or anyone visible.

Milcon:

Ammoníta demon.

Melek Taus:

Yezidi devil.

Minoson:

It helps you win in any game.

Mastema:

The accusing angel of Hebrew mythology. He is the one who slaughtered the firstborn of Egypt.

Mammon:

The devil of miserliness and greed.

Nasnas:

Persian sea monster. Appears as an old man on the dams of rivers, asking for help. If someone helps him, he will flow into the water.

Nihasa:

American Indian devil.

Naamah:

The Hebrew demon of seduction.

Nebirots:

He rules over Hael and Surgulath.

Olivier:

Originally an archangel.

Paimon:

Takes the form of a woman wearing a crown and riding a camel. She commands two hundred legions of evil spirits.

Palis:

Persian devil. He is also called the foot-licker. He licks the souls of travelers’ feet until their blood runs dry.

Pentagnony:

It makes you invisible.

Rosier:

The patron saint of seduction. He makes people fall in love.

Rofocale:

Lucifer’s middle name.

Rimmon:

In Babylon, he was believed to be the summoner of storms. His symbol is the pomegranate.

Sammael :

In Hebrew, “sam” means poison, and “el” means angel. Prince among demons and sorcerers often called the devil of death. Some say that he was the serpent of the Garden of Eden and that he seduced Eve and begot Cain for her. He is often confused with Satan, and some confuse their names. He appears as a gentleman with red hair. He is also known to have an extraordinary appreciation of the arts.

Satan/Saitan/Shaitan:

The name means Enemy in Hebrew. Originally he was one of God’s destroying angels. In the New Testament, he becomes synonymous with the devil. Often confused with Lucifer. Satan was also a seraph, and he is the true evil one.

Succor-Beloth:

Luring people into fornication. He has control over the Devil’s harem.

Sirchade:

Makes supernatural animals and creatures visible.

Segal:

It evokes wonderful events.

Surgat:

It opens any lock.

Saurva:

Persian demon. His eternal adversary Kshathra.

Samnu:

Asian demon.

Sedit:

American Indian demon.

Sergutthy:

He has power over virgins and wives when things are going well.

Satanachia/Sataniciae:

Ruling over forty-five — some say fifty-four — demons. The leaders are Sergutthy, Heramael, Trimasael, and Sustugriel.

Sustugriel:

Teaches magic and gives familiar spirits.

Sergulath:

Teaches anyone how to break their enemy’s ranks and strategy. He rules Proculo, Haristum, Brulefer, Pentagnony, Aglasis, Sidragosam, Minoson, and Bucon.

Sidragosam:

He makes any girl dance naked.

T`an-mo:

Chinese demon.

Tchort:

The Russian name for Satan. It literally means “Black God”.

Tezcatlipoca:

Aztec god of the underworld.

Thamuz:

Sumer devil.

Tunrida:

Scandinavian demon. Female gender.

Trimasael:

Teaches you to cheat, bluff, and make gold and silver.

Verrier:

To tempt people into disobedience.

Yama:

Chinese devil. He rules over Gosirsa and Asvamukha. They are the souls of people who have eaten beef or mistreated their horses in their lives. They come for souls to be dragged to one of the Ten Hells. Each hell has a king who rules over it.
